When to go
July to August
Locals call it Deosai, the place of giants. For three short summer months, the plateau erupts in primula and forget-me-not, and the Himalayan brown bear emerges from its winter sleep.
We pitch a small, fully serviced camp by Sheosar lake, Persian rugs, copper basins, an open hearth, and absolute silence after sundown.
